ADULT BIBLE CLASS – Sept. 5
What are the implications of the Apostles Creed for us and our life with one another and with God? Today we finish with the last affirmation, “belief in the life everlasting.”
WEDNESDAY AM BIBLE CLASS
From 10 am to noon every Wednesday we gather in the Fireside room to be in the Word. Presently we are answering the questions concerning the “Hard Sayings of Jesus in Matthew” Each week is a new lesson so come when you can!!!

IF YOU HAVE FURNITURE you would like to donate to the University Lutheran Chapel you have until the Thursday after Labor Day to do so. Donations will be given to support LC-MC campus ministry to help U of M students outfit their apartments and dorms. All donations are tax deductible.

OUTREACH - Luke 14:25-35
In His teaching Jesus said that salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again. Jesus taught that we as His followers are like salt on earth to season and preserve good things. Witnessing for Jesus is the best way that we can be like salt!
WEEKEND READINESS FOR MARRIAGE offer assistance to couples preparing for marriage. Each weekend includes 11 hours of discussion, video and couple reflection, as well as discussion centering on the “Prepare on-line inventory”. We offer trained counselors and quality preparation for marriage. Weekend scheduled are:
- October 8-10, at Berea Lutheran, Richfield Contact Lutheran Counseling Center 952-894-4828 or
- Pastor Gade who is also trained to administer the on-line inventory.

SR Education Group publishes and features a comprehensive list of resources for men, senior citizens, children/teens, women with postpartum depression, and people afflicted with bipolar disorder. Employment/Positions Available
Tiger Club After School Program at Trinity First Lutheran, (1115 East 19th St., Mpls 55404) has openings for two Tiger Cub Club
(TCC- preschool) teachers and one Tiger Club (TC-elementary) teacher. The TCC teachers will supervise preschool students in the classroom and outside. They will work together to provide a story or music time, and prayer for our preschoolers. Hours are 3:15–4:45 p.m. Monday through Friday. The TC teacher will work in cooperation with the program’s director to provide students with supervision and help during Tiger Club. Specific duties include home work help, assisting volunteers, room setup and take down, preparation of snack, supervise gym (or outdoor play time), and helps students (K-8th) board the school bus home. Hours are 3:00-5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more info call Diane Meyer at (612) 799-0642.
Kingdom Building 101 will be presented by “The 72TM Partners on The Road”. This session will be held at Living Christ Lutheran in Chanhassen (820 Lake Drive, 55317; (952) 934-5110) on October 23, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., there will be a lunch following. The session is for pastors, lay people, teachers, DCEs and anyone who has interest in learning more about sharing the Word in today’s society, sometimes referred to as the “postmodern era.” The cost is $10/person, payable in advance by sending funds for the number of attendees to: The 72, MNS Dist, 14301 Grand Ave. S., Burnsville, MN 55306 Further information about registration can be obtained by calling Bruce Manzey, field representative for MNS District,612-590-2661or bruce@manzey.com.
LOOKING for a MISSION PROJECT?
Chaplain John Meyer, a military chaplain from our District currently serving in Afghanistan writes: I am currently respon-sible for around 5,000 soldiers and civilians on our Forward Operating Base (FOB). If you have items you want to donate, bring them to church, Vicki Tousignant will deliver them so they can be shipped!
